Fitchett & Woollacott’s Student Woodworking Competition 2009
NB: Due to illness the results will not be published until November 11th...
we apologise for the delay
This is our third year of sponsoring the only national student woodworking competition. We and many professional woodworkers have been very impressed with the entries over the last 2 years (over 600 of them!)
As one of the country’s leading suppliers of timber sourced from sustainable growth forests, we are particularly encouraging entries made from sustainably sourced timber > The F&W range, detailed in our Design, Craft & Technology Price List is all from sustainable forests

This competition allows the student to produce his or her masterpiece – mechanical, practical, household, ornamental, child’s toy, anything that
they feel like producing, as long as it’s in wood and preferably from sustainable sources (we hope that it doesn’t appear that we are preaching...sustainability is important for ALL of us!)...and with the
teacher’s blessing, of course! You can still see some of last year’s
entries on this website
SCHOOL PRIZES
Schools can win £1000 of Fitchett’s sustainable growth timber, worskhop tools and subscription to
