THE AWARD PRESENTATION AT THE D&T SHOW 21 November NEC

The Fitchett & Woollacott 2008 Student Woodworking Competition awards were presented by Jeremy Vibert, Head of Marketing & Information at TRADA (Timber Research and Development Association) assisted by Matt Hall, F&W’s General Manager and Sales Executive, Paddy Mcloughlin

In his address Jeremy Vibert commented, “It’s very encouraging to see such flair among young people in both the design and skilful use of a range of timbers. I’m delighted that there is so much commitment from schools in educating about the wonderful properties of timber as well as raising awareness of the need to use only sustainable resources.”

2 New Sales Representatives Appointed- 16 January 2008

Ian Herrett aged 34, married with two children, joins the sales team from Arnold Lavers. Ian has 16 years' experience in the timber trade and now represents us in Nottingham, Leicester, Stoke-on-Trent and Yorkshire.

Russell Spencer has moved across, from our parent company Brooks Bros' northern depot and is covering Birmingham, Coventry and Northamptonshire.

We have been awarded FSC certification and PEFC accreditations, audited by the Forest Stewardship Council and TRADA.
Species of hardwoods and softwoods procured throughout the world by our experienced team of buyers are sourced from sustainable growth forests. Architects and specifiers are including the FSC and PEFC certification on contracts for new and refurbishment projects.
